On July 23, 2020, Tomás Mackey of Argentina was installed as the next President of the Baptist World Alliance (BWA) and will serve his five-year term throughout the 2020-2025 Quinquennium.
"The Baptist World Alliance opened my eyes to the world," said Mackey. "My time with the BWA has warmed my heart with love but also with the suffering of so many around the world. It has enlightened my mind with the wisdom of brothers and sisters from the north, the south, the east, and the west. The Lord has truly blessed my life through the Baptist World Alliance. I look forward to the opportunity to continue serving the Lord and the BWA family in this role and invite others to join me so that together we can experience the blessing of serving the Lord with our Baptist family around the world."
Mackey has been actively involved in the BWA for more than 30 years.
